ETIM PUBLICATIONS AND INSTALLDATA
An ETIM version is an official ETIM publication and is always an upgrade from the previous version. An official publication is indicated by a number, for example ETIM 7. In addition to adding new product classes, characteristics and/or characteristic values, product classes or characteristics may also expire (for example due to a merger or split).
ETIM Dynamic
As the market needs to respond quickly to new ETIM characteristics, ETIM has been publishing intermediate publications since ETIM 6, known as ETIM Dynamic. This means that requests for amendments that have been internationally approved before the next official publication will be made available by ETIM on a weekly basis. InstallData tracks the dynamic publications every week, thus accepting all newly added product classes, characteristics and characteristic values.
ETIM basic version for InstallData
InstallData uses the current ETIM 7 publication as its basic version, following which InstallData incorporates the dynamic publications. Thus InstallData accepts publications that have been classified according to ETIM 7 and dynamically. Data provided in accordance with previous versions (for example ETIM 5 and 6) are also accepted, but characterised as expired.

Radar data quality
The radar data quality (which may be viewed on the presentation page of the participating manufacturers) provides the percentages, once again based on ETIM Dynamic.
ETIM UP
The ETIM UP conversion tool makes it possible to upgrade your data to a more recent ETIM version. The ETIM UP mapping of ETIM 6 to ETIM 7 is not available to all data suppliers. Members with an ETIM or InstallData ETIM Combi contract may, however, make use of this conversion.
