PRICE INFORMATION WITH AN EFFECTIVE DATE IN THE FUTURE

These days there is an industry-wide demand for complete product and sales data. Price information with a start date in the future is part of this too. In order to anticipate changes in the market, wholesalers and installers want to have new price information available two months before the start date.

InstallData provides the option of 'preparing# one or several price records per article and to make them available to data consumers. We call these "future prices".

How does it work

When a price has been provided with a start date in the future, this will be recognised as a future price within the data pool. Several prices may be linked to a single article. All price information is directly available to data consumers on the day after uploading (depending on the file format selected).

You are, of course, dependent on the options provided by your software package. Contact your software supplier to discuss the options.

INSBOU

INSBOU supports a maximum of 100 prices per article. Future prices can be additionally incorporated into the catalogue report, with the start date of the price in the future. If several prices are available for each item, this element will thus be incorporated into the catalogue report several times in the event of an export.

BMEcat

BMEcat supports an unlimited number of prices per article. Future prices can be additionally incorporated into the report, with the start date of the price <VALID_START_DATE> in the future. Price information with a start date in the future will only be available for an export in BMEcat format once the date entered has been reached.

PAB 2.03

The PAB format supports several prices per article. Future prices can be provided in several ways via:

1. 1. a separate data provision

The gross price must have a start date in the future.

2. 2. one and the same data provision

The report artpr2.txt. offers the option of communicating several prices with different start dates.

For more information, we refer to the documentation on the file formats.

Correcting future prices

You cannot remove future prices provided earlier from the data pool. If you wish to correct a future price, you can provide a new future price with the same start date as that of the "wrong" price. The old future price will then be overwritten.
